Yomogi is also known as Japanese mugwort (Artemisia princeps Pampan. & Artemisia indica Willd.).
The yomogi plants are harvested from a lush patch that grows next to my little hut every year.
Yomogi is ubiquitous in Japan culture as a medicinal plant. Its known for its warming properties and calming effects on the nervous system. Its also good for dry skin, itches, wounds and joint pain. Traditionally, its known to be supportive to female menstrual health.
This oil has a deep earthy scent, swirling with a honey like sweetness. Its great for moisturizing your skin after bathing. The scent is quite soothing to the nervous system so can help with winding down before bed, or used as a massage oil. And because of the warming qualities (of both mugwort and sesame oil) - its perfect for oiling postpartum mamas! In western traditions, mugwort is known for its qualities to help access the realm of dreams ✨

Batch#YO20231 : The plants for this batch were harvested this past spring , around the full moon eclipse in scorpio. The plants had a young, bright green quality to them. This batch smells especially honey-like, more than usual.
