Te‑a‑te box : Remedies from land & hands

$108.00

{Presale orders open from 1/29-2/5 }

At the threshold of the lunar year, spring begins to stir beneath winter’s stillness, but the deep cold still continues. This collection of remedies was put together to attune to this transition and carry our bodies through with warmth.

These boxes are seasonal and small-batch, with remedies crafted only for this moment. This is where my more creative response to the territories I inhabit is given form, beyond my usual lineup of herbal offerings.

If any remedies remain after the presale, they will be available in the shop individually.

Included:

Yuzu paste – with ginger, cloves & black sugar
Yuzu carries the light of winter sun.
This marmalade‑style paste, inspired by the Korean yuja‑cha, dissolves gently in hot water. The bright, floral yuzus were harvested from a friend’s snow‑covered garden. The black sugar is from Okinawa, and traditionally considered to be a nourishing ingredient.
150ml
(Throat & cold care)

Yuzu tea ball – with 9 TCM herbs
In old seasonal lore, snow spirits were said to be soothed and dispersed by steam and warmth - hot tea offered even to the coldest of winds.
Fragrant herbs are tucked into a hollowed out yuzu and slowly dehydrated. This tea is pungent and restorative, and the tea ball may be used multiple times.
1 tea ball
(Warming & immunity)

Umeboshi paste – salt‑pickled plums & purple perilla
Umeboshi, sharp and vivid, has long been celebrated as a protector against fatigue and disease.
Prepared under last summer’s sun, this sour, mineral‑rich paste invigorates the body. Take as a tonic or use as flavoring in cooking.
(Alkaline health tonic)

Wa firecider – persimmon vinegar, wasabi, mountain pepper & wild “Wa” spices
Pungent spices have long been part of winter practice, as a way to awaken the senses and fortify the body against colds.
A Japanese spin on fire cider made with foraged spices, balanced with a touch of local honey. * “Wa” 和 refers to Japanese style rooted in tradition.

200ml
(Cold & immune support)

Fuyu body oil – hinoki (cypress) infused sesame oil
Hinoki, “fire tree,” long used in sacred spaces, is slowly infused from branches harvested from a snow‑covered forest. The oil carries a subtle citrus‑cedar aroma that is restorative and soothing to the nervous system.

60ml
(Grounding)

Ricebran candles
One of my favourite “wa” candles made by a traditional candle shop. Made with ricebran wax, rush weed, washi-paper and silk fiber.

2 candles
(Intention)

Written musings on how to use the remedies are included with each box.

All ingredients are intentionally sourced, wild foraged, grown by myself, a friend or locally whenever possible.

Orders will ship out around the last week of February~beginning of March. Please be patient as everything is made slow, in-house, from scratch, with intention & art.

If you live in a cold region, please get in touch so we can discuss how to get the liquid remedies to you safe without them freezing (and cracking) during shipment.

Made in the old volcanic lands of Mt. Daisen & the sea
